𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐧𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐈𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞

Electrical appliances, gadgets and other equipment worth millions of naira have been destroyed as a result of inferno at a solar training office in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Our correspondent learnt that the inferno occurred at a training office of a solar company located at the upper floor of Salinsile building in Ibadan, on Thursday.

It was learnt that properties worth millions of naira such as electrical appliances, gadgets and other items were affected.

Chairman of Oyo State Fire Service, Hon Maroof Akinwande confirmed the incident.

He said “The fire incident was reported on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at exactly 18: 12hrs.

“Upon arrival, it was a training office of Sun Watt’s Solar and Electrical Company located at the upper floor of Salinsile building engulfed by fire.

“Officers of the agency swiftly swung into action and the fire was curtailed and restricted from spreading to other parts of the building. The fire was completely extinguished and properties worth millions of naira were saved by the fire service.

“No casualty was recorded and the root cause of the fire incident was unable to be established but post fire incident investigation is ongoing to ascertain the cause.”
